D.C. Shares in Amazon Growth: 5 Premier Condos on the Market Today
The numbers don’t lie. D.C.’s population is growing at a staggering rate and the influx of people has only been exacerbated by last year’s Amazon HQ2 decision. Overall, this is an exciting time for the city, but a recent report suggests D.C. has added twice as many people as housing units since 2000. That means Amazon’s entrance has further stretched a RE market that was already playing catch up with demand. But don’t worry. There are still several fantastic and available residencies if you’re looking. Now intrinsically connected to one another, D.C. is sharing in Amazon’s growth with several new condo developments looking for owners all over the metropolitan area. These locals provide prospective buyers with an opportunity to get into a new building with amazing new finishes, ample amenities, and experience and participate in a vibrant neighborhood culture.
Check out our quick list highlighting five brand-new, red-hot condominiums available in the D.C. market right now. Then, contact us and schedule a walk-thru for the location that peaks your interest.
1. The Shaw
Comprised of 69 new condominiums in Northwest D.C. For these owners, the city comes to life at your doorstep with street after street of restaurants, cafes, shops, and nightlife just outside your walls. Channeling the community’s modern kinetic energy, each home features a thoughtful layout, unique interior designs and innovative amenities including a keyless entry system, a virtual concierge, energy-efficient LED lighting, smart thermostats, and an (almost) door-to-door package and food delivery system.
2. eNvy
Calling all sports fans. This gem, located in D.C.’s Ballpark District, blends the best in luxury living with a view you – literally – can’t get anywhere else – right into Nats Park (think of the game day parties you could host). Each unit offers a range of Bosch appliances and high-quality finishes like under cabinet lighting and modern soft-close closets as well as the best in today’s in-home tech including adjustable closet systems by Organized Living, USB outlets and Wi-Fi programmable thermostats.
3. The Bower by PN Hoffman
One of the only condos on the market in The Yards, The Bower places you right in the mix blending easy access to D.C.’s exciting social scene with incredible views of the riverfront. Designed with you in mind, owners easily transition from the high energy of The Yards to the peace of home with the help of amenities that include community spaces, 24/7 concierge, a fitness studio with Peloton Bike and Rooftop residents’ lounge with wet bar.
4. Perla
Appealing to the sensibilities of today’s urbane D.C. professional, Perla’s surrounding neighborhood has something for everyone with countless indoor/outdoor restaurants, coffee shops, bars and art galleries all within a short walk. Perla’s aesthetics are on point too. Clean lines paired with classic finishes make these homes the epitome of elegance. And don’t forget about their outdoor spaces. Most homes have a personal 7’ x 10’ balcony and access to the Skytop Suite complete with a fire pit, day bed and plenty of room for your guests.
5. Chapman Stables
Located in Truxton Circle, Chapman Stables will meet all your locational requirements to a tee with the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro Station, numerous eateries and the Metropolitan Branch Trail only a brief walk away. These homes will also satisfy your inner-history buff as the facility’s construction includes the redevelopment of horse stables originally built in 1906. These residencies have been updated to include a variety of floorplans and boast common grounds, a party room, in-unit washer and dryer and more while still retaining a semblance of their original, early 20th century aesthetic.
